Its actually really high. It doesn't matter how carefully you pick positions guys are going to move frequently.

Just looking at Pasty's team from the 2010 draft 4 of his first 5 picks aren't playing the position he drafted them as... and there is nothing wrong with that.

but anyone could easily draft Eddie Vanderdoes and say he's their RG, while everyone knows he's a DT at the next level.

No that would trindon holliday at DE. DTs rarely get moved to RG

CB to WR
WR to TE
Dual threat QB to WR
DE to DT
CB to Safety
Safety to LB
LB to Safety
LB to DE
Tackle to Guard
Guard to Tackle
WR to CB
RB to WR
etc etc

All extremely common switches that happen every single season at every single program.

I am not saying you should be allowed to pick 8 guys listed at LB and move 4 of them to DE/S but 1 or 2 guys on your entire team is very well with in reason IMO.

Just to reiterate you guys make the rules I am just happy to play. We have a difference in opinion thats all.

If it is reasonable and you can document with a few quotes or articles, I think nobody would have a problem.

But to go and say, "I see this guy's film. He is a QB, but he runs like a RB or WR." You can't do that. That's my opinion.

But if you have even one article to back it up, I think it's allowable. That's how the admins have treated this. I think they have been fair.

I hadn't even thought of Woods playing receiver in college. On Rivals, they compared him most to Charles Woodson, CB/KR/PR guy. That is why I took him. I value great CBs over great WRs.

True statement. In particular, my safeties over the entire process have either moved to LB or WR. I also like drafting ATH's b/c I think they are typically undervalued. We certainly can't control where they end up. I don't think this is a big deal. The QB being drafted as a WR when you planned on a drafting the WR turned QB was pushing it though.

Well I think its a judgement thing. But I have had very few move to a different role. And I also feel that an athlete shoudl be put where you want them within reason.

If Woods was listed as an Athlete than tehre is no way to know what he would be mvoed to but you knew he was projected at certain roles.

I have Dominqiue Brown who i got in sup rounds as a QB (labeled Ath by Rivals) now he is a RB. It does happen

but as we said you cant see stuff that the dang on scouts dont even see.

dont be that guy!

It's fine. I'll just take LB Shane Jones from Michigan State instead.

Wasn't random. You were bumped earlier this AM after being on the clock until 10:30 or so.

I understand your perspective and I do agree with your sentiment.

For some guys it's a fine line.

DTs rarely get moved to RG

But it's still "reasonable." They have roughly the same body size, they both play on the line. But I would think that's pretty blatant abuse of the intention of the rule.

Regardless, it's really just a silly game. I don't think anyone takes it that seriously. I'm not terribly concerned with it happening once or twice, and I think it's a lot more relevant to QBs than other positions, because that's generally the guy who has the biggest chance to "blow up."

I'll use a guy I just drafted as an example, Thomas Duarte. He's listed as a TE in his highlights. Every UCLA commentary I've seen says he'll play TE. But Rivals lists him as a WR only.

If someone wanted to take him at WR, I guess I wouldn't have a terrible problem with it, but it's also sort of all the relevant information points to him playing TE, so we should think of him as a TE.

Thats what you suppose to do. to make the game fun and a true test of one self.

I mean I woudl feel good about Woods if I had him at Ath or S. but if his video adn evry article had him at WR then why not just put him there and sit back and enjoy the show.

No matter how many exmaples you show me. 95% of my team has styed in the spots i drafted them.
Only athletes adn Keanon Lowe have had a position change so far.

So if I wanted a guy listed by Scout and Rivals as a QB, ESPN as an ATH and 247 as a QB and Athlete could I take him at WR?

IMO that would be Trindon Holliday to DE because it rarely happens unlike LB to DE, WR to CB, OT to OG etc

Also I am about to going to leave for 30-45 minutes are we going to bump Cecil its been over 90 minutes since T-dawg made his pick I don't want to hold us up

The way we keep this moving is by notifying folks that it is there pick even though we don't have time to update the thread. That is why we request contact info. I get the privacy concern, but we are pretty harmless!
