CBS Primetime game

Hi,
Do any of you know who CBS will put on it's annual primetime game? My initial thought was bama vs johnny foosball but since that's such an early game, I thought they may go in a different direction.

It was UF/Tenn forever and that game was usually around the 3rd weekend of September. Don't think they changed things up til the LSU/UF game in '07. I can see them going with Bama/A&M.

Yeah, probably will be. Shades of Bama-Florida 2011, IMO. Texas A&M will have 3-4 losses next season.

I agree with this. They lose some key players AND Lost Their OC. Johhny Football CAN'T match what he did last year.

Tenn-Fla was never a CBS night game but a few times it was ESPN night game, Bama A&M will be 2 30

I never believed in Johnny boy when the Aggs were on the board before we played them bragging about how they were going to kick our butts. After watching the kid play though i admit i was wrong, this kid is really good. They did loose two of their best on the OL and we saw what a difference and OL can be to program. Bama with all it's hype is as good as they were last season cause they won the battle in the trenches with an outstanding OL. If they had not been so beaten up by LSU the week before the ATM Bama game would have been much more competive.

It would be the first weekend for CBS. They have the US Open the first two weekends.
So no, I doubt they would start off the season with a night game unless they have more than 1 scheduled.

I tend to agree that they won't put a September game on as their primetime game. Since they have a pretty easy schedule, my best guess would be that it is against us.

How long have you been watching football? CBS doesn't start their coverage til after the US Open and started off their CFB coverage with double headers a few times and UF/UT was always the prime time game.

They only get ONE prime time per year. The LSU/Bama game in '11was a unique situation and CBS had to make concessions for this past season.

They did it with Florida and Tennessee for a number of years.
