Which schools surprise you for having such low recruiting rankings?

Using Rivals rankings:

Georgia Tech - #85
Stanford - #63
Kansas State - #62

All kind of head-scratchers for me.

Surprised Stanford isn't more desirable. Beautiful area, great coach, great degree, pro system.

#1 has to be Texas. Yeah they sucked, but they're TEXAS. They have the easiest recruiting road in the nation.

I was thinking that as well. I don't understand why their class is so small this year. Seems really odd.

They had some last minute decomitts, but it still would have been one their smallest classes in awhile.

On a similar note, I don't understand how with 85 scholarships available total, a school like A&M can sign 33.

yeah I'd pick it over Notre Dame if I was looking for something like that.

Stanford took a really small class. They are loaded with upperclassmen.

They will be back up there next year.

It's a really good school, in the South, in a big town that could attract a lot of recruits. Even though they did lose 7 games, they competed in the ACC championship and handled up on USC in the bowl game.

Miami is #44 on Rivals right now. That's crazy.

Stanford had a big time class last year so that surprises but the other two make sense.

Mizzou is still recruiting like they're in the Big XII. They're 20 spots behind fricking Kentucky.

Doesn't really surprise me, and I guess it's not a low ranking, but UGA should do better than #12. Especially this year. 9 of the top 100 players in the '13 class are from the state of Georgia, but only 2 (!) signed with UGA. So much for putting a fence around the state!
