We have a ledger and a graph, I demand a pie chart.

I'm not trying too hard at anything, haha. It just makes a lot of sense to me that consoles are heading in this direction. They lose a shite ton of money to the second hand market.. If they go to war with used game retailers, they have a bunch of soldiers fighting alongside them in the form of development houses and publishers.

The console makers money they lose to 2nd hand game retailers is much more minuscule to them than the developer of the game itself, with them adding something like this onto their console it only ends up helping the game developer and not themselves, because if they have even 1 person in R&R that person will tell them that they will lose that money in people not buying their consoles to begin with. It makes 0 sense from AnYONE with a brain.

China's fascination with android amazes me. that demographic heavily shifted these %s and #s. Kind of odd how hard android dominates iOS over there.

Those graphs and charts seem shopped. Kinda odd to me too.

Also, that group is larger than many think. They would be driving those customers right into their competitors arms.
I'm a member of that demographic. If this is true, I will never buy this system.

Just when I think you couldn't get worst... you do realize all of those charts are legit and jeff said this in his post right? Add reading comprehension to the long list of things finch sucks arse at.

Dude, no, that is just patently false. The console manufacturers are extremely reliant on software sales to make profit. Every developer who has a console game pays royalties to the console manufacturers. It's where the console manufacturers make their money and why they can sell their consoles at a loss

Like I said, Steam, the platform, has been doing this for years. I never mentioned anything about games.

I assume you're playing your Steam games in "offline" mode then? In order to select offline mode, you gotta first be online and logged into the Steam client. This is a requirement. You can't simply disable the internet and then play your Steam games. Steam will fail to launch. If Steam fails to launch, you're outta luck. My point still stands.
