The entire coaching staff at DSHS is major league upset and the coaching staff includes the baseball coaches because Lawson was a really well liked kid.

They can be as upset as they want.
When a kid is a risk academically, being asked to grayshirt shouldn't be a surprise or an insult.
As an LSU fan, when you see who was added to the class late and who LSU would have had to pass on while also taking Lawson's additional risk, I feel very strongly that it made the right choice.

It was just a little humor. I've got nothing against DSHS, just a comment about the history of LSU football players from that school.

He is still considering the greyshirt offer. Sources say he will visit Kentucky, TCU, and LA Tech. After visits, decide if he found a better fit than LSU. There is actually no rush for him to make a decision at this point.
