Follow up: It just bookmarks a particular post. My guess it is so that you can go back to a post that you or someone else made that you want to follow later.
In the past we've just looked into our post history.
Removes the "Posting in this thread to read/find later" posts.

Kind of sucks that they have all this bookmark options but then anchor a thread when someone bumps or "boom"s a thread a few days/months later.
