Eunice Rifle and Gun Club

You may need a sponsor to get accepted in. If you have any trouble getting started, bump this thread and I'll help. I don't have the phone number here at home, and I don't think it's on the web anywhere.

Yeah, I've heard nothing but good about the guy, and really hope it works out for him. It is a helluva lot of overhead and endless permits and beuracratic red tape.

I'll be there often if it works out.

I hope it does too. Unfortunately, by the bullshite they've fed us these last few years, I don't believe it will. It's always "ground breaking is gonna start in a few months"

I know Alan and he will not give up! They will build a range. The funding is not an easy thing to accomplish.
The funny thing though is that many of those who complain now that it is not open already will be first to complain about something else once it is open.

Not sure where you're going with this, are you saying that my "complaining" isn't justified? Because if something that's been supposed to open for 3 fricking years, hasn't even started ground breaking, I feel like I can "complain" about it.

I took my concealed carry class with him. No complaints. Great guy.

But yes, the range seems to dragging

Because you have rights and deserve the right to complain?
Being disappointed is one thing, but complaining?
Just do not get it?

I wasn't complaining, just stating the fact that the place won't open until theres a cold night in hell.

Has it not been supposed to open for 3 years?
Has the same piece of land just sat there for a 3 years?

Maybe he should've saved the money he bought his "geaux shootin" truck with and invested in his range instead and he'd be closer to opening rather than giving people the runaround.

Fighting on the internet is fun, so I'll say this. Why don't you put your money where your mouth is? Unless you have personally invested in the enterprise, you shouldn't be too peeved about its lack of progress.

Alan is a good guy and will take care of you. He does multiple classes a month. yeah the progress on the range is slow but crossing my fingers that it will happen (i am in for a founding membership).

As I said earlier, Alan is a nice guy. But that project has been seriously under-capitalized, and all of the projected "ground breaking" and "grand opening" dates have been optimistically over-hyped, for a long time.

I hope the plans all work out -- for Alan's sake and for the folks who have fronted money. The area needs a good range. But I wouldn't bet any money on seeing this one in operation any time soon.

Based on the plans he had on the website, I'd imagine its a $3mm+ project. Noise abatement, lead abatement, and HVACs are hella expensive
