What's the best steak you have ever had in NYC? Lets keep it in Manhatten.

Sparks
Keens
Minetta Tavern
Locanda Verde

The first two are steakhouses, the second two aren't but are widely acknowledged to serve a fantastic steak.

Peter Luger just across the Brooklyn Bridge.
Old Homestead for the old-time experience. I just don't like the new steakhouses.

Keens is very good. I'm going to try Quality Meats this weekend. My friend is meeting me there and that is his favorite place.

I thought Peter Luger was overhyped.

I would go to Sparks just because Paul Castellano got mowed down there

If it's good enough for mafia bosses then it's worth trying IMO

Sparks is my favorite. Quality Meats is good, more trendy.

There are those who will claim Peter Luger is best. Personally, I find it a little overrated.

Quality Meats is very good, but I haven't been there in 3.5 years.

I'm a fan of Buenos Aires. The strip or the shell steak.

Ben and Jack's. Couple guys left Peter Luger's to start this place. Ate their last visit. Really good.
