Yeah but did you know this: "The FBI had ruled out cyberterrorism as a cause."

Our country is turning into shite so fast and it's largely because of our piece of shite media that pushed BS like this.

actually this is part of what you said. A faulty piece of equipment is different than a vague "isolated incident"...

I'll be shocked if the report doesn't come out along the lines of "isolated incident" and praising all parties for the quick response. (Remember, the lights started coming back on less than 5 mins of the first outage. They had already rerouted power to the backup.)

Actually, it's about as isolated as you can get. A part broke. It happens. It worked for two months and three major events, then broke. It's not some big conspiracy, and I doubt there's anything that could have been done to detect it short of pulling everything apart and checking each piece, and that's impractical.

Still doesn't take away from the lights coming back on quickly. The dome handled it about as well as possible.

Someone at SMG had the work that was done that led to the failure reclassified as "emergency" work instead of going through a public bid process so that he could hand it to a friend.

This is completely false. Entergy hired the contractor that did the work. Entergy does not have to go through the public bid law process. Entergy owns ever piece of equipment on that feed up to the metering point. SMG had nothing to do with who was hired to do the Entergy facilities upgrades.
