Hey guys, If there is a weakness to LSU recruiting, what do you think it would be?

well, with this class, the weakness would be the chance that we strike out on Fournette (probably won't happen) and any other RBs we go after next year (definitely won't happen)

Only because most of Bama's commits are also interested in LSU...

EA Sports isn't really on campus yet. The building they do have is so far behind schedule, it makes the union look punctual.

Good question. LSU is the second best recruiting juggernaut (after Bama). They get about equal talent, but what makes Bama stronger is they recruit more evenly. You'll seldom see Bama with a class tilted so heavily toward a position group as LSU's classes have become.

This year we have a huge number of Dlinemen. Last year it was linebackers. Next year it will be running backs and DBs. Because LSU didn't recruit RBs last year or this year, we will end up playing freshmen next year. That sounds cool to people who think LF will be the shits - and I expect he'll be an impressive ball carrier - but will he pick up blitzes and do all the little things? Probably not. This year, playing a freshman at CB cost us against Bama and may have cost us a BCSNC. That's our weakness.

The 4 weakest areas for LSU in the past 8 years have been:

1) LB
2) TE
3) QB
4) OL

We dominate all other positions.

We finally got a great LB haul last year and TE haul this year. Will be interesting to see if we actually utilize a gifted TE in our offense.

we don't go after the 5s very, hard most of the time. I think we did on RN. We get a lot of 4s and a few 3s and that's what we hang our hat on.
