Uncle just bought a platinum with it. It'll run, doesn't get this mileage that you'd think. You'd have to set cruise on 55 to get the advertised mileage. That's with everything though.

I test drove one and trust me it has just as much get up as the 5.0

this is like the 4 or 5 time I have been told about the mileage not being as advertised but that the power is more than 5.0

on the dealership paperwork, the MPG is only a difference of 1 between the ecoboost and the 5.0

you will get a better deal with the 5.0 even though it's a bigger engine

i have the 5.0 and love it. 22+ MPG on road trips and 18 otherwise

had mine 1 year, 23 hwy going speed limit, buuuuut only 16-17 city but i sit in a lot of traffic driving across Lafayette. So i reset the mileage on every long road trip to try to trick myself that the mileage is better, it's fast though.

i think the 4x2 gets a little better with it too, but really how much does this matter? if you care a bunch get a Nissan Leaf

The mileage is marginally better than the 5.0. If you do alotta towing though you probably wanna go ecoboost, as it has greater torque than the 5.0. The 302 starts making the bulk if its power at much higher rpms. As far as aftermarket, the 5.0 has much more upgradeability, although it seems like more and more things are coming out for the ecoboost as well. Both are great motors and get good gas mileage. I dont tow much and am a speed freak so I went with the 5.0 and slapped on a supercharger amongst other things.

Prior to 2013 (but including some of thr earliest '13s as well), there was an issue in some trucks with condensation build up in the intercooler. Supposedly Ford feels like they have found the problem and addressed it.

Love my Ecoboost, 18-19 in city depending on how you drive it and 22-23 hwy. These rims are on order now.

Good for long commutes and short distance towing. Gonna cost you in msrp and perhaps maintenance though. And they are quick/powerful for sure.

These problems are still very present and causing lots of problems in the 2013 trucks. Other than that, they are great motors.
