I really wanted to add curry to this one.

I like the idea of a touch of red curry paste in this. Might have to try it.

She's spot on with that idea. I should have got off my lazy arse and got some instead of winging it. Very good.

Delicious. I might need to season it a tad more though. Tastes like straight puréed cauliflower, which is delicious, but hard to eat an entire bowl of. I eyeballed everything so I think it just needs some pepper and garlic.

I roasted 7 heads of garlic with the cauliflower and some red peppers.

I'll be making this for my parents this week when they come down for a visit. They are big fans of homemade vegetable soups, and they love cauliflower, as do I. Since I'm a bit burned out on preparing mixed vegetable soup, I've been looking for a new "Winter" soup recipe, something unique, but as hearty and satisfying as vegetable beef & chicken vegetable soups, without meat. This sounds perfect, and the bacon, being optional, can be omitted by those who do not want any meat. This is not the case with me, btw. I'll take their bacon servings.

Oh, c'mon! It isn't a party without a little food fight!

Alright, I'll share the bacon AND cook over easy eggs IF you trade me some squirrel and/or deer meat. Deal?

Definitely tinker with the seasonings. I added a good bit of white pepper which goes well in this sort of soup. I had large garlic cloves so I was good there. Throw in some garlic powder if it needs a hit. Also, put some in a cup and hit it with some curry. Microwave it and see how you like that flavor with it. Pic is nice.

Missy, make it a day ahead so you can adjust the seasonings.

I make a curried eggplant bisque also that you might like.
