I don't think there is enough room for that. IIRC, the farkers only have 400 x 50 area to work with.

The process was a MESS. Just because one thread was well organized (excellent work BA, and that's NOT Godfather's fault for the rest) doesn't change the fact that the whole thing was kind of an overly complex ordeal.
I know for a fact that I'm not alone in that.
It's not being a sore loser, it's doing the same thing we did last year (or even the year before), just let it die and move on until we can reorganize for something better. I said the same thing last time when I was in support of the "winning," design. I'd rather a better process from front to back than a mess of threads that ran way off course of what they were supposed to do.

Because color scheme won't save a weak logo.
And the BEST color scheme in terms of symbolism, the one that many people liked, doesn't look good with this logo.

That one was actually my favorite until just recently, out of all the options we have been given over the last few weeks.. made a last inning change to the movie reel at the end there.

Is there such as color as Red Carpet Red? That would be my vote for background color. Make the rocks below the sign greyer. Leave Tiger gold, Leave Droppings white. DONE.

By the way, I just noticed you have a white background in your avi. I thought you would like Dany background transparent. It means the white background won't show up in dark posts like the one I'm responding to.

I don't care for this logo because it doesn't look anything movie related. It doesn't even resemble the Hollywood sign.
But the dark grey and white with tiger in Oscar gold is far and away the best color scheme.

Well, I got fricking stout'ed and didn't see the stickied thread. I even posted on the board during that time. But it still would have went down 38-40.

Originally the stout logo was waaaaaaay ahead of TG's logo, but then I told everyone to really think about their decision, the vote went from 25 - 52 to what we saw.. just sayin' it was a good vote.

Ughhh... Enough with this man. I see, at best, maybe a couple of people that "cheered" but I see a lot more posters basically saying "screw you guys I'm going home". Who cares and why does it matter who posted in what thread?
Look. You're a good poster here and all but you really need to get over yourself. If you were this passionate about GF's logo winning, maybe you should've been rah-rah'ing a little more to get some votes for it.

If this logo was voted on and won, then I get that, and agree that it's relatively fair. However, I feel like I can still voice my opinion on things, since that's what this board is for. I think the logo looks completely stupid. I think it's one of those ideas that sounds good (Hollywood sign...cool), but looks terrible in practice. I actually stayed away from a lot of the process, so I'm not sure how it ended up coming down to just those two choices, but I did vote for the logo I liked more (or hated less). Also, I wasn't crazy about either one of them, but if those were the only chouces I had to pick one...and before you say "Come up with your own design then, a-hole.." well, I actually did (as a joke). But I'm not creative like that anyway...I can throw out ideas, but can't create solid logos like GF or stout can.
As for the color, I still like the red. It stands out from the other boards and I'm used to it to the point that I like it. IF we have to change colors (which we don't), then I'd vote to a more black and white kind of scheme (maybe dark gray even). Also, I think if this logo gets installed, a dark background looks better...as much as I hate the "sign" logo, I think it looks much better without being able to see the supports (and only seeing the actual letters).
Hopefully, Chicken will hate the logo anyway and he will refuse to install it. :fingerscrossed:
