all of them starts.. Subbed on three times.. only three times m8.. lets not forget he got knicked twice before. But he doesn't start..

And he's played leftback in every qualifier thus far. I've watched Honduras live countless times more than you. They scraped the whole Emilio left wing idea after the New Zealand friendly.

He plays an attacking wingback role while Maynor covers his runs. He would've been a left wingback on friday and every day after for Honduras.

Stu has already rehabbed his way through the reserve games and has logged decent minutes with Bolton, I'd say give him another 2-3 months and we'll see him back on the USMNT.

I think he'd be great for the Gold Cup.

While we're at it, frick it.... bring back Charlie Davies!

And I've watched every Celtic match since long before Izzy got there. He's been horrible on almost every occasion since his injury v. Aberdeen. And I want to like Izzy. I'm good friends with one of his cousins (I was told by this person that Izzy was signing about a week before any rumor had come out).

Yay! He completed one cross! Crown him!

He's an absolute shadow of his former self.

And you do know that Adam Matthews and Mikael Lustig can't play at the same time and have Izzy start except in midfield, right (except for one diddy cup match where Matthews played in midfield)? Ledley and Mulgrew have also played at left back this season. And that Rami Gershon was brought in as a left back, not a center half (we already have Ambrose, Wilson, Rogne, Mulgrew, and even Wanyama), right? Why would we do that if Izzy's been amazing all season? Yes, he's started a ton, but you also have to remember that the SPL is down, allowing Lennon to experiment with a number of different formations (for example, Izzy's played in midfield four times this season in the SPL).

And don't link me stats from fricking ESPN. They're notoriously inaccurate regarding Celtic (quick look, see Marcus Fraser's stats).

ETA: Now take your Honduran Benedict Arnold arse out of this thread and off this board.

can't handle the banter bruv?

what does his skill have to do with him being an undisputed starter m8?

19 starts bruv

23 total appearances m8

He's a leftback at Honduras, plays as a left wingback at Celtic. First place in the SPL playing Juve in the knock-out rounds. I know him aswell. He played for my childhood club Motagua. His cousin Junior and Omar. good pplz bruv.

What the frick is "bruv"? Is that something Hondur-arnolds say to each other?

He's not an "undisputed starter."

Could you tell me where Izzy was in the match v. Barcelona at Paradise?

Celtic's youth team could beat Motagua.

ETA: Did I misspeak when I said that Izzy hadn't played a lot? Yes. But I'm pretty sure my subconscious had tried to wipe the memories of all of Izzy's misplaced crosses and bombscare defending. Apologies.

Making Bradley captain will not be the greatest idea. We have to remember that his dad coached USA. I am sure Jurgen will not put the old coaches son as captain. I like the idea too but it will not happen with Bradley.

That's a weak argument Mr. Jurgen. Shouldn't matter who his Father is or who his second cousin twice removed is. He plays like the captain of the offense right now IMO.

I do believe Bradley will be the USA top player in the World Cup, but you are crazy if you think Jurgen will put bradley at captain. It DOES matter who his father is jerky. You cant fire a coach then make his son captain. I understand if your not educated, but realize other people are.

Good stuff Jurgy, good stuff. If I was uneducated I might feel insulted by your comments, but that's not the case.

Two questions for you though. Who fired Bob as the USMNT coach and who decides who is the captain of the USMNT?

Bradley is the next USA captain, if not Howard. Regardless, he will eventually be captain, and my money is that it will be under Jurgen. Book it.

Keep in mind he said, "other people are". Sure he insinuated that he was, but he never said it.

I like how this thread has gone off two tangents.

1.) TN Bhoy and Honduran Bhoy arguing about the plaudits of a player who won't be featuring in tomorrow's game.

2.) The future captaincy of the USMNT spurred further by an obvious alter.

As for this game, Honduras' outside backs look ripe for the taking, but then again, NO WINGERS. If Fabian Johnson and Timmy Chandler can overlap with whatever center mid is playing on the wing tomorrow, they should be able to feed Jozy and Dempsey.

This is the possible Starting XI for Honduras according to one of their highly "esteemed" news outlets. I can't authenticate its journalistic integrity, because it seems to be the one Hispanic new service that doesn't include pictures of scantily clad females.

quote:

1) Noel Valladares Portero
2) Arnold Peralta Lateral derecho
3) Víctor Bernárdez Central
4) Maynor Figueroa Central
5) Juan Carlos García Lateral izquierdo
6) Boniek García Extremo derecho
7) Luis Garrido Contención
8) Roger Espinoza Mixto
9) Mario Martínez Extremo izquierdo
10) Jerry Bengtson Delantero
11) Carlo Costly Delantero

Roger Espinoza is a quality player, but is often slow in decision making. If there ever was a time for Jermaine Jones to get stuck in, he should target the long greasy haired Honduran midfielder.

Is there an over/under on when we first see Carlo Costly's go to move? (His shitty little fake back heel..)

I'll set the number at 25 minutes in.

I'm more of a fan of his classic, step-over, step-over, lose the ball, lunge himself at the ground, grab his leg in agony move.

That guy sucks.
