How many Fulmer Cup points would t.u. get for Brewer?

Oh, and one of A&M's players got busted for firearm possession in a public place (we don't have open carry) so we'll get a point or two out of this I would believe:

As a "Big 12 fan" this should make you extremely happy.

With Dodds' exit, the Big 12 Conference no longer has to kowtow to the whim of one school and can finally create a conference beneficial to all members...maybe even reversing the horrible decision known as the Longhorn Network.

You have no idea how delighted I'll be if Dodds is finished. The rest of your post is garbage. LHN is here to stay - 13 million homes & counting - All the bad blood has been expunged from the conference. Mack will soon be history too. Its what most Longhorn fans want.

It'd be even better with a Dora the Explorer theme, as he was knocking her Boots.

You sure about that? It's more like 1.3 million between UVerse, FIOS, Grande, and all the other no-name services.

You assume that, just because people get it on the standard package in Texas that people give a shite outside of the state.

ESPN doesn't even advertise it anymore on their regular networks.

I actually tried finding it on the FIOS lineup of one of my relatives outside of DC...not even on the channel guide.

Might want to check UVerse's actual footprint outside of Texas and Southern California.

Until/unless one of the following providers picks it up, it's a failure:

Time Warner Cable (deal with ESPN doesn't expire until 2020)
Comcast (deal with ESPN doesn't expire until 2017)
DirecTV (see above: 2016)
Dish Network (see above: 2018)

IMG College has taken over the marketing of the network. Most folks (myself included) didn't realize that they are part owner of LHN.

Cox Communications, 3rd largest cable provider in country, signed on December adding 6 million suscribers.

quote:

Terms of the multi-year contract between Cox Communications and the Walt Disney Co., which owns ESPN, weren’t disclosed.
Cox Communications is a division of Atlanta-based Cox Enterprises, which is the parent company of the American-Statesman. It offers cable, Internet and phone services in a number of cities across the United States, including: Cleveland; Las Vegas; New Orleans; Omaha, Neb.; Roanoke, Va.; San Diego; Tucson, Ariz.; and Tulsa, Okla.

In October, Cablevision brought in over 3 million tv sets.

quote:

Cablevision, based in Bethpage, N.Y., is adding the Longhorn Network as part of a new, multi-year contract with the Walt Disney Co., which owns ESPN, the company that runs the Austin-based network.
Terms of the deal were not released.
The cable provider had 3.2 million subscribers as of June, according to the National Cable and Telecommunications Association, primarily in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.

And Uverse & Disney just made this deal to extend LHN -

U-verse extends deal to carry LHN, other Disney networks
quote:

AT&T and the Walt Disney Co. have signed a new contract that ensures U-verse customers will continue to have access to the Longhorn Network, as well as dozens of other popular cable channels.
U-verse, which added LHN in late August, is the nation’s seventh-largest cable provider with about 4.3 million subscribers, according to the National Cable and Telecommunications Association.

6 + 3 + 4 = 13 million. Not even considering FIOS or the other smaller companies.
