A famous one was the "Behind Blue Eyes" Gears of War commercial. I knew non-gamers that liked that.
My personal psyche level (non trailer) was reading articles in Computer Games Srategy Plus, PC Gamer etc when Ultima Online was being developed. I've never been so excited to get a game before or since.

Fallout 3 trailer got me pretty excited. Considering it was a revival of a DOA franchise.

The Gears of War trailers, all 3 of them, were my favorites.
