It would be nice to have medical expenses taken care of and any subsequent visits to plastic surgeons or therapists in the future.
Check for med-pay on their coverage if they have it.

Given the terrible thing that happened, I'm out. I had no intention of this turning into an OT law discussion. Best wishes.

Really,is this what you guys want me to say?

What you should be saying is "I hope to take every advantage of this unfortunate situation my daughter has unwillingly found herself in and as a parent, I will seek every legal recourse possible to get monetary compensation for our family's troubles and put it towards FREE COLLEGE TUITION. "

That'll help pay for your immediate lawyer expenses.

Hey, not to interrupt, but you're a former that's now an attorney?

That's cool. One way or another, the problem goes away.

I've already been told that skin grafts will be necessary once the wound heals enough to clear any infection concerns out of the way.

Do this now, seriously. If she has stitches, she may scar. ER docs are full of crap about scars. Consult with one immediately.

Then you def. need a consult with a plastic surgeon.

There should be some good ones in BR.

that's why we're going there.A friend of mine is a nurse for a plastic surgeon there and we will be doing the followup there instead of the OLOL ER.

Prayers for your girl MJ. I have a feeling if this ever happens to my daughter my wife would shoot the dog before I got the chance, and she loves animals a little too much.

I feel for your clients.
No Need. They are and have always been quite happy. Whenever they are looking for an update or reassurance, I just tell them (in my lawyerly voice) "Whatever the judge or jury decides will likely be upheld on appeal." They look impressed and go back to posting on the OB.

Oh, so you are in high demand, right? Sure.
I've gotten inquiries about dog bites or similar low ball cases, but I don't have the time or inclination to waste on such things. You do, apparently. So you have that going for you.

You know, you really should not have admitted to being a lawyer. It just makes it worse.

You're kind of a joke around here, so forgive me for not giving your opinion much value.
