your point was that gun shows are the only place people can get together and illicitly seek specifically models of firearms.

Nope. My point was that it's the easiest.

You're being cutesy with the word "dealers". Private sellers are de facto dealers.

Anyone "engaged in the business" of selling guns must get a license and conduct background checks on their customers. Our investigation found many sellers at gun shows who say they are just "private collectors" but are doing brisk and lucrative business selling guns without background checks.

I used to chat on IRC and some users used TOR proxies for access. As I recall, Efnet and Dalnet used to kick out TOR ip addresses. If IRC networks can know which are TOR ip's coming out then certainly the government can know which machines are connecting to TOR going in.

Seeing an incoming TOR IP is easy. It's no different than any other IP. But, that's a far cry different from two people communicating via a TOR relay and determining where those people are physically located, or what they're talking about. The only way to do that is to be sitting on the connection to begin with, which would require a warrant. If you've got that much articulable suspicion, it would be a hell of a lot easier to send one Fed undercover at a local gun show with a copy of my picture.

The easiest way to get a gun is burglary and this happens every day.

And by cutesy Rex means you actually used the word correctly. Rex gets to make up definitions in his argument and utter show of ignorance on this topic! Carry on!

Impossible. Burglary is against the law.

Funny how this "lost" person is your clocks.
As a long time reader of your bullshart, I've learned that every time you self-declare voctory, It's a sure sign you've lost, and you know it.

quote:

You even had the ignorance to declare that "virtually all" guns sold at gun shows were by licensed dealers who follow the law.
... says the man that's never evn attempted to buy a firearm from a gun show. Here's a clue. Not everything in Huffpo, Media Matters, and DailyKos are true.

You've become boring. This is too easy. You're dismissed.

This bears repeating... this one video alone is enough to demonstrate that almost everything jeepfreek, ElCid, TigerAuthority, Joshryn, etc. have posted is bullshite:

re: There is no such thing as a 'gunshow loophole'

I don't have to buy a gun from a gun show to know that not "virtually all" guns sold there are from licensed dealers. Your contention that I must is not only fallacious and stupid, your base contention that "virtually all" guns sold there are by licensed dealers was plainly ignorant.

Want video proof? How many times do I have to post this? LINK

No, I'm using it properly.

quote:

Private sellers are de facto dealers.

Care to cite the legal statute that states that? Or are you just making shite up as you go along?

So basically, the "cutesy de facto dealers" are breaking the law. Where's the mythical loophole? They are currently breaking the law and the Justice Department isn't doing its job. Why aren't you screaming for Holder's head right now? Why aren't you mad as hell and not going to take it anymore from Obama's Justice Dept.?

Well private sellers rent tables all the time. I used to about 25 times a year. I was not a licensed dealer. Bought sold and traded to cops on the reg.

re: There is no such thing as a 'gunshow loophole'

quote:

1. ALL dealers at gun shows are required by law to have an FFL license.

2. ALL FFL dealers at gun shows and elsewhere are required by law to run a background check before the sale.

3. Guns are sold every day over the internet anonymously by private parties via Craigslist, newspaper classifieds, nickel ads, etc.

4. Nothing Rex or TitATL have argued in this thread are based in any fact whatsoever.

This. God damn the stupidity hurts.
