Are we going to have more power (per se)? What do we have a #3 starter, or is that to be determined by early action? Bullpen solid? ( I only get to see about 5-7 reg season games prior to regionals, due to living in Ga ). I would appreciate prognostications/opinions.

On paper yes. Hopefully that comes to fruition.

I believe Bonvillain has the leg up on the third spot.

I think the offense will be better, middle of lineup back plus newcomers that should make 1-9 much tougher than last year

Pitching - you don't replace a #1 like Gausmann.
Nola and Eades give you two good enough to win anytime out. Third starter and midweek starter are important especially with Broussard out.

Bullpen should be about the same.

SEC will be tough as usual.

Anything less than Omaha will be disappointing. I think this team would have make up to win a regional on the road if they had to. I don't see them winning the whole thing but would be a tough out.

I'm a Tiger fan, this is always the case

Also, if I don't get to make a trip to Barrett's Barleycorn this year I'm going to be pissed!

Naw.

We lose a bulldog closer in Goody and the guy who was expected to replace him, Rumbelow, may be out. Gotta hope for some of the young arms to step up.

I really want McCune to be good this year. If he can duplicate his freshman season then I think we can get far into the post season.

Until Javier learns how to coach we are going to have to rely on the pitchers.

If we don't make it to Omaha, changes need to be made.

I got my p&g LSU Barrett's shirt during the 08 CWS, every year since I've worn it on opening day

I just wanted to say Fire Javi.

But seriously, I don't necessarily mean PM. I do question some of his moves though. Like his loyalty at putting questionable players getting PT over others or not making the necessary moves on his buddy Javi. He made the move at pitching coach last year and it made a dramatic difference. Everyone can see Javi's not a good coach except PM. LSU is not a program for your buddies to coach when they're over their head.

I don't like the head coach either. I think he throws the players under the bus too much. I just think we need a new hitting coach to be honest.

Althought we lose Goody, I still expect the bullpen to be very similar to last year's. Coming into last season, we didnt know what we had in Goody. He turned out to be outstanding. We could have another new guy just like him. Once Rumbelow gets healthy, he could step right into Goody's shoes - I believe he pitched really well at the Cape this offseason. With Glenn, Cotton, Bonvillian, McCune, etc all having another year to work with Dunn, I dont see a reason why we can't be just as good in the bullpen as we were last year.

That's all I'm asking too. Also, I have a bit of a problem with how LSU has been recruiting past few years. How is programs like Florida and USCe getting these studs to make it to their campus? Surely they're not getting lucky on every recruit but more of their structure and how they evaluate talent. IMO, PM is getting lazier in recruiting after getting burned a few times.
