$429 dollars in the box at Bowie, and you can actually get ammo. How does it stack up against competitors? TIA

I like them. I want one. But mine will be a 9mm, not a 40.

Saleman said if one didn't like the gun, it'd probably sell for a profit on Gun broker.

Question ICS. What is it about the Shield that makes you lean that way over a M&P 9c? I know the differences between the two, and for MY needs/wants, I'd pick the 9c over the Shield, but curious to why you prefer the Shield. TIA.

Its not for me. Its for my sister.

I prefer the M&P 9c. Only slightly larger and 8 more rounds. She doesnt care and will probably only shoot it when I take her to the range.

No pics.

OK, that makes sense to me. I can't justify (personally) the Shield with so few in the mag just to be SLIGHTLY slimmer, actually taller, and that little bitty arse grip with no interchangeable backstraps.

Price too. Not sure what M&P 9c's are going for but I know its a good bit more than the $450 Shield. But I dont let price dictate my gun purchases. They will last a lifetime, so I wait till I can afford what I want.

I have the M&P .45, and the 9c will be my next purchase. I'm not a big guy, and although during the winter I can carry the .45, I need to get something to carry during warmer months.

If you like the .45, check out the XDs. Thats my daily carry, hot or cold. Its not a M&P but its a .45.

I already have a S&W M&P .40, and if I get a M&P Shield, it'll be a .40, more so because I don't want to stock another caliber of ammo.
