Tied in to the Rodney Harrison thread:

Jack Tatum
Joey Browner
Chuck Cecil
Rodney Harrison
Courtland Finnegan

Who you got..?

ETC "Lester Hayes" to "Jack Tatum"

Oh, and for not even mentioning Jack Tatum, you get a fail.

Jack Tatum paralyzed a dude and was unapologetic about it. Enough said.

Jack Tatum played by the rules of the game (for the most part).

He hit hard, but the rules were a different animal back then.

He was still an animal that deserved to be put in a cage.

When I typed "J a c k T a t u m", for some reason "Lester Hayes" hit the screen

Seriously, Lester was the stickum (within the rules then) guy and Tatum paralyzed Stingley, I meant to list Jack "They Call Me Assassin" Tatum...

Finnegan for sure. It was a great day when Andre Johnson stuck him in the face

Fred Williamson

ETA: And he apparently derived his "hammer" shot from something Night Train Lane called "the bone".

So he played within the rules of the game, and you're mad at him?

He apologized, but not publicly. He felt he did nothing wrong, that it was within the rules I don't even think he was penalized on the play.

It wasn't the same PC society back then. Sorry your feelings are hurt

I'm too young to "recall" this, but if you go back and watch highlights of Night Train Lane's career, just about every tackle he ever made would result in a penalty today.
