We're paying a guy who can't hit 30 yarders 2 million..?

You know, if he could kick as well as Kasay did in 2011, I would say it's worth it. A near-automatic kicker is a valuable asset.

That said, 2.2 mil for Hartley? Pffft

He still probably is in the middle of the NFL salary wise.

ETA: some of these triggers **are obviously** incredibly easy to hit.

we'll double your pay if you can just make ONE stop on third down in this game!

WTF

frick Hartley man. Thank you for putting us in a Superbowl but what have you done since? I grind my teeth when I see him coming in to kick. Even on a 30-yard FG. If you can't make 1-30 yard FG kicks in the NFL 100%, you don't deserve to be in the league.

Jenkins is going nowhere. Contract year and the Saints will give him another chance to do something. Jenkins is a bust. I highly doubt we'll ever see anything from him.

He also leads the NFL in "missed kicks that cost the Saints games against Atlanta that one time in overtime"

Like I said, I'd have no problem with it if I felt he were a good - great kicker, but he didn't look too good this year. Even a bunch of kicks he made were too close for comfort.

$734,000 to $2.166 million?? $734,000 is more than fair for an average kicker.

The person responsible for that should probably be fired.
