Even if LSU doesn't make either tourny, they are 10x more fun to watch than last year.

That's Missouri's game. They are 2nd in the NCAA in rebounds for a reason. I think we did pretty good actually.

we haven't been a rebounding team this year either.
We don't have the personnel to be a big rebounding team

As great as the win is for us, it's an even worse loss for Missou.

You can only do what you have personnel to do...

We don't have the personnel to do what Missouri does this year. Next year we will. It's what Johnny Jones recruits. He likes lanky athletic. Unfortunately he wasn't left with it, so they try and box out as much as possible, but last night Missouri was working through some, plus we were zone a lot, which creates problems in itself for rebounding.

I ran into the Boise State basketball team/game film crew in the Denver Airport this morning.

We got to talking while waiting in line to get McDonalds...they were on their way back to Boise, and when they saw my LSU bag they made a couple comments saying that the LSU game was their most fun game of the year so far.

Then I told them we beat Missouri last night....

You would have thought I was telling them that their mother died. They had to pick up their jaws off the floor.

Major accomplishment last night by the Tigers! And I know csb

Very nice. Would love to get some re-dos this year.

bullshite. postitioning > body size when it comes to rebounding.

Alright buddy.

Obviously positioning is very important, but to be a very good rebounding team you need both.

This kind of worries me. Not trying to "find something to bitch about", but we had to shoot a ridiculous FG% to win by 3. These rebound numbers are killing us.

my worry is our depth. you could see we were gassed in the second half. we were a step slow on rotations and lazy passes started. I have a feeling jones will turn us around next year. I still think we could have a nice run this year but I think next year and beyond jones has us in a good place

Yea. At this point obviously I'd rather a 85% Hickey or JOB over their backups, so I'll take it, but it will be very nice when they both have reasonable backups.

This should be no surprise to anyone given our lack of height. JOB can't do it alone. 6'5" Coleman battles hard, but it's not enough going against guys 3" or 4" taller. We're simply overmatched on the boards against most teams.
