Yeah! frick Remington! They should pay a high school educated union worker $50 an hour to install action pins in a receiver! I mean, unless he's on break, or he's sick, or if it's president's day, or.......

Reading that article, it explains that the small community relies on the factory for jobs.

Hell, bring the factory and the yankee community with it. We need more people that actually work.

We (Vero Beach) are seeing tons of New York permanent transplants in the last two months. I see all these bumper stickers that have NY license plates on them that say, "Vampire State" instead of Empire State and "KPMYGNS".
They aren't shy about telling you why they're Floridians now.

Wow! If the gun makers can start a competition amongst various states/towns to lure their businesses there, the gun makers might get a real economic windfall.

Nope.

Florida has already lured Colt into starting up some manufacturing and a regional headquarters here in FL. Next step is to get the rest of it which has created quite a bit of worry in CT but they should say good riddance to that flea bag state.

Freedom Arms announced the Monday after Newton that they were selling Remington. I was kind of hoping Ruger had enough capital to put a serious bid in, but I doubt it.

I looked into them awhile back, they are way upside down on there books. Its going to be a big risk for whoever picks them up.

Someone will buy them. Even if its just for the name and relocation to a more business friendly climate could definitely help to balance the books. Hell if they started just cranking out stripped lowers they should clean up. Flood the market with those bad boys and give the gun nazis an anurism.
