I'm coming into town tomorrow for the Super Bowl. I can get in without reservations, correct? And this is the Toups in Mid-City, right?

ETA: Never mind, I saw it on the menu. Looks great!

After all of that deliciousness in the first post, you had time and room for more?! You're good.

The food looks fabulous. The cake, the deviled eggs, the fried oyster sandwich, the burger, the sausage ... Bless me Father for I have sinned. I have coveted my neighbors goods.

Sorry for bringing up an old thread, but I went here today and sweet Jesus, this place is amazing. I haven't tried any of their drinks yet, but their cracklins remind me of home (Lafayette) and there's not too many places in New Orleans where you can get good cracklins.

Definitely going back here again!

Definitely. It's like $20 and is enough to feed at least 2 ppl for an entire meal. Place is amazing.

The meatery board basically just gives you a bunch of items off the a la cart portion of the menu. It's a good way to try a nice selection of their house cured meats and sausage.

Last time I was there I got the duck, another person got the tri-tip, and two people ordered some specials they had...one was a softshell crab, can't remember the other. All were very good.

No, they tell you what's on it. I just can't remember exactly what was/wasn't on the list.

We ended up getting the bone marrow and deviled eggs as apps and the pork chop and the confit chicken thighs.

The deviled eggs were delicious and I loved the spiciness of the horseradish and jalapeño and crunch of the bacon. The bone marrow was decadent and came w/ escargot and 2 crustinies of chicken liver mousse. Very rich and we could not finish it.

The entrees are ENORMOUS. If you remember correctly, I said I left Peche hungry...well not this place. I literally asked our server if there was anything left of the pig after my plate. It was enormous. We both left w/ to-go boxes. My pork chop was perfectly cooked and the bed of dirty rice it came on was delicious.

My date's dinner looked good and she said it was but I declined to try it. I am kinda mad at myself for not trying the chicken but I did have a bite of her white beans which they were sitting on.

Sorry, I did not take pics b/c I wasn't sure how she would react.

Only fault with the place, they need something to soften the noise level in there. There are too many hard surfaces so it's extremely loud.

I might have to go over there for lunch. I all of a sudden have a craving for their deviled eggs.
