Yep. Honestly if he's there I'd like to see them give him a spin, he's a player, man.

I'm all aboard the Mingo/Jordan/Moore/Jones and then Gathers in the 3rd pain train.
If Porter is there in 4th no way you can pass him up, but the best rated safety/CB there would be the best

Dude, what the hell are you talking about? The post I responded to was about broughton. He mentioned no one was talking about him and I said we had a thread about him several weeks ago. I didn't mention or request any link.

I would think that Mingo with his speed and quickness would be very good as an 34 OLB.

No one ever mentions Broughton. Another guy who should have quite a bit of potential at 3-4 DE.

I don't see Broughton as a 3-4 DE at all. He is kind of small for a 4-3 DE. It's the same reason I laugh at people who say we could use Will as a 3-4 DE. I really think some people don't understand the differences between 3-4 and 4-3 personnel. Now I absolutely see Broughton as a 3-4 OLB. That was the 1st thing I thought of when we signed him. He's a little bigger and faster than Clay Matthews and I think him paired with Tez have the potential to be something great.

While I'm trying to not be a Debbie downer what makes you think this? The dude hasn't even seen the field and he can be something great? Obviously it's all potential but I wouldn't reach that far.
I would take and apply that comment to Wilson/Gallette much sooner than Broughton

Cameron Jordan 6'4" 287 4.7, Braylon Broughton 6'4" 272 4.55. I believe he can play both actually. I know Jordan is more talented but we cant say that he could be a probowler but Broughton doesnt fit because of size and speed. If he were to stay this size sure use him at OLB but if he continues to bulk up like the 18lbs he put on last year then yeah he could definitely fit into the role of a 3-4 DE IMO.

But if Broughton does keep his weight and speed where it is now. Just another monster on the outside to get after the QB.

The more I look at Jordan, the more I just have a feeling we shouldn't take him.

I don't know. I don't want Mingo either, but I think we really need an OLB.

I think we need a DB more so than a NT in the 3rd IMO.

Phillip Thomas or TJ McDonald would be nice.

I wouldn't mind that at all, but with the switch to the 34 I really think we need our highest rated NT, LB, or S.
But if Tyrann is there in the 4th I'd sure pull the trigger.

He will be gone by then. I feel like he wouldn't get past the ravens in the 3rd

Nope. He may be had as late as the 5th but starting at round 3 I think he's a good pick.

You're right, I'd be thinking about it in the third and then pretty disappoi Ted if he wasn't there in the 4th.
I'm convinced he could take over return and nickel duties over immediately
