What was the first stock you bought?
Mine was HAWK which was Petrohawk Co. But since they mereged with BHP Billiton.

Hibernia Bank. Bought at about $4 (on the advise of a friend who worked there) and sold at about $18. Unfortunately, I only bought 500 shares, so my total profit was about $7,000.

Ford Motor Co. Ha bought $50 worth and just forgot about it until after the auto recovery. I think it was worth like $200 when I sold it. Wish I wouldve had more cash back in college.

Cisco Systems (CSCO) when I was about 10 or 11. My parents got me to invest $500 dollars that I had saved. Tech bubble burst really destroyed that and I'm left with -$150. Wasn't very happy about that as a 13 year old . I really need to find out how to sell that since it was bought with my parents name as well.

ARA Services - acquired through employee options. Had a fair number of shares when the company was taken private and received a nice check.

Intuitive research and technology.
Bought in highschool with $1000 loaned by a mentor. He walked me through the due diligence on it snd a few others. Sold it for $2500

I was an absolute sucker for cold-callers. I bought a train set company, Hungarian telephone, a Prudential Company, and some telecom company.
Lost everything, but did gain knowledge. Read about Peter Lynch and Warren Buffett.
Don't buy until you do research; know something about the Company.
I then bought WMT, HD and MRK and 2 Vanguard Funds. I'm happy.
