...in the 60's and 70's? Was he a son of "the" Doc Fenton?

Yes...Dr. Thomas T. Fenton was "Doc" Fenton's son and practiced medicine (GP) in BR for many years. Office was on Evangeline and McClelland Drive in North BR.

Thanks Kev. I recall a Dr. Fenton taking care of me when I was in school and had a minor problem. Wish I'd known more about LSU football then, would have discussed his dad with him.

truer words have never been spoken. and you hope that one day you will survive to be an old timer and that you will be able to retire so you can take a nap.

Dr. Thomas T. Fenton, M.D. He was our family physician back in the day. His office was on McClelland just off Evangeline, behind the old L & G Rexall drugstore (all in the hood now).

And yes, he was the son of the legendary George "Doc" Fenton.

FYI, my cousin lived in that area when it was a liveable area, and I spent many a happy weekend there playing with the kids in the neighborhood. The pharmacist at that Rexall was Mr. Hannegan, nice fellow who used to live just down the street from me on Eleanor Drive. We bought more comic books, sling shots, balsa wood airplanes, and junk food there than you can imagine. Good times.
