11:31 James Smith | Nola.com: I was told that he really liked Bama this weekend and even made a deal with another prospect in attendance that they would commit when they went back in June for the camp. LSU will have a couple chances prior to that date to push him off of that idea if it is true.

Orly? Is this like sims and brumfield to Bama. Another bullshite rumor by a hack attention whore wanna be. Love he adds "if it were true". Kinda like the phony commitments to Bama

This is what S&S are saying. They have actual sources.

Yea, I know it sucks because we had a nice lead but he is being sold Bamas O-Linemen being drafted high which is very appealing to him.

Has nothing to do with it. LSU and Bama have very different styles of recruiting. I know after Boys from the Boot he was an LSU lean. That was obviously before Saban came to WM last week and Cam went to Bama this past weekend. He's going to go where he wants and is the best fit for him. He's not going to rush to a decision either.

Sorry, I didn't mean to call him out. I just have heard he bleeds P&G and would be surprise any player would want to go to Bama over LSU, but I know each kid does his own thing. I think he will be a NSD guy or maybe a little before than, same with the other guys.

If he picks Tulane over LSU for an education, there should be absolutely no anger towards the guy. If he doesn't see a future in the NFL, Tulane over LSU would probably be a very wise choice.

It really depends on what he wants to study and get out of his college expereince. I agree, though, that if he thinks Tulane is the best place for him he should go there.

Just exactly where does Riley or Smith say ANYTHING about a Tulane education??? You guys have run with this for no effing reason. If he goes to Tulane it's because they have a fantastic recruiter as their Head Coach and there actually appears to be some light at the end of the tunnel for a change. Also has two teammates going there. Oh and the biggest reason would be LSU not having a scholarship available right away.
So cut the Tulane education BS out.

Is that the same fantastic recruiter w the #82 ranked class in the nation? Thats not that much better than toledo did and its worse than scelfos classes.

Are you really saying CJ isnt a good recruiter? And Tulane is ranked about 70th according to 247 and Rivals. Rivals had the last all Toledo class at 102 and his 2010 class at 112 and Scout had the 11 class at 99.
Scelfo had some nice classes from 1999-2003 because Trooper Taylor was there and Tulane was coming off some recent success.

You really dont know what you're talking about.

The same recruiter who got Marshall Faulk to San Diego St , Reggie Wayne and Ed Reed to Miami???
Scelfo came in after an undefeated season. Dontcha think it might be a little tougher now than it was then?
And Hoss, WTF difference does the number make- my point was, the idiots on here spouting the Tulane education angle were wrong of which it seems you agree.
Geez, this Board is going down the shitter fast.
