@BertDbacks: BREAKING: Alex Rodriguez, Melky Cabrera, Nelson Cruz, Gio Gonzalez reportedly linked to PED use as late as 2012.

Records from an anti-aging clinic in Miami list the names of prominent baseball players -- including Alex Rodriguez, Melky Cabrera and Gio Gonzalez -- and detail performance-enhancing drugs administered to them and others, according to a report Tuesday by the Miami New Times.

The names were on records Miami New Times said were given to them by an employee who worked at Biogenesis of America before it closed last month. Miami New Times reported that the records show the firm sold performance-enhancing drugs, including human growth hormone, testosterone and anabolic steroids.

Anthony Bosch, the 49-year-old head of the clinic, was connected to Manny Ramirez when the former MLB star was suspended for 50 games for violating baseball's drug policy in 2009. Bosch has never been charged by local or federal officials.

Let's be honest. If no one was on PED's, and the lead HR hitter had 25/yr, no one would watch baseball.

Well Melky was suspended in 2012 for testing positive, so I wouldn't call that "BREAKING." The rest aren't really that surprising.

Ok, as a Nats fan, I'll bite. To this point, most Nats fans are quite surprised as we hadn't heard any such rumblings. Plus,Gio doesn't seem to fit the profile of a "ripped" athlete.

All of that said, clearly 2012 was his best year ever. And many of the names on the list are either "repeat" offenders or the usual suspects.

Not a good day in Natstown.

50 games

Although I don't want to lose Gio, MLB needs to increase the severity of the first penalty. 50 games is not enough. Melky sat out 50 games after being caught last year and still got a lucrative contract in the off season.
