quote:

"It really helped," Howard, when asked for details of the meeting, said after the Lakers' practice Monday. "It helped [us] and it helped everybody on the team. It was great. People have said it, it was a 'come to Jesus' meeting. It was good. Stuff like that takes time. We all got to a point that whatever needed to be said was said but none of the stuff was taken personal. We all want to add another banner up there and all have rings, and in order for us to do that we all have to do it together."

No need for a come to Jesus meeting. Kobe needs to shot less and pass more. He keeps that up, then the Lakers have a shot to make some noise.

I have started to just hate it when Dwight opens his mouth now-a-days.

this upcoming road trip is the season. lakers play i think 5 teams with a losing record. win 5 of the 7, and i can see the lakers coming around.

Can't believe this team is better with Kobe as the facilitator. Nash is actually more involved without the ball in his hands to start possessions.

Also, the Thunder game showed just how much of LAL's struggles on D are effort based.

20/15/10 Kobe was incredible to watch. Everything was nearly executed perfectly and so efficiently. They were playing San Antonio basketball the last two games with more talent.

I do not watch that much NBA, but I watched this game in full and will watch more Lakers games this season because of the effort they will have to put in to contend.

Also, there are six teams, two from each division, that the Lakers cannot catch. They will have to beat out 2 out of these 3 teams: Utah, Houston, and Portland. I think they can do it, but it will take around a 24-14 record from here to get the 8th seed.

They only have to make up 3 games in the loss column over their next 38 games to get that 8th seed. That's not a huge task

Imagine that
They played slower with two of the best bigs in the game and it worked

lol brain surgery huh? People wrote Pau off for a scrub wayyyy too fast. He was arguably the best center in the world this past summer. The guy still has tremendous value.

They'd be well served to continue tinkering with ways to keep getting Dwight and Pau involved. Thats still they're biggest advantage game in game out.

Kobe's gonna need all the help he can get come playoff time when he's gonna probably be forced to guard either Parker, Westbrook, or Paul. Paul's at the point where he calls for a screen from Kobe's man just so he gets the switch with Kobe guarding him. Long way of saying they're screwed on the perimeter.

I've grown to like Kobe towards the end of his career, but I still cannot stand the Lakers and all the players that join that organization.

I love seeing this failure of a season so far.
