Why would Jacksonville move to LA?

The Raiders are the better pick. Oakland has the worst stadium in the league, the bay area is dominated by niner fans. Not much corporate involvement in Oakland. The Raiders already have some history in LA.

To me it is a no brainer.

I can see the Jaguars being the team that goes to London - if it ever happens.

I cant see San Diego going to LA.

There were a ton of raiders fans in southern California when I lived there. I'd really like to see the rams go though.

This. I don't understand why the NFL hates it so much. There are much worse stadiums out there.

The NFL doesn't hate it. Blank wants to make more money.

You'd also see the Bucs move to LA before you would the Falcons IMO.

Its called leverage. Blank isn't going anywhere. but since he has to ability to move the team, it will force Atlanta's hand on building the stadium

Well Blank hates it and the NFL hates it (that's why the Super Bowl hasn't been back lately)

The GA Dome isn't the reason the SB hasn't been back here...

I don't understand why everyone thinks Jacksonville would be the team to go. There are 12 teams that had worse attendance numbers than the Jaguars in 2012.

longtime raiders fan here and i think it's time to head back to LA if given the chance.

there are still plenty of raiders fans there from the old days anyway.

Exactly. They are lazily repeating the same trope from five years ago.

Originally, Blank was supposed to foot $700 million of the deal, and the other $300 million was gonna come from hotel/motel taxes. A bunch of bitches in Atlanta started whining, and the PTB came back to Arthur saying they wanted him to fund another $100 million on top. Throw in that with the fact that originally the new stadium was supposed to be completed by the start of the 2017 season, and now the PTB are dragging their heels on that, and you get Arthur pulling this strong arm move.

Personally, I hope Arthur tells the city of Atlanta to frick off, and "seriously" pursues the Doraville location.

I've been to the ga dome. It's not quite Jerry world but its a damn fine stadium. I always thought it was very nice. Building a new stadium would be the epitome of wastefulness.

There about 7 teams who'd move to LA before Jville. Why does this tired meme keep being repeated?

Would be awful for Atlanta - should not happen. I hate suburban stadiums.

So have I and its lacking the high-dollar amenities where the money is made. Include the fact that the design is significantly dated with only two other stadiums with similar characteristics (and one of them being replaced in 3 years) it isn't that far fetched.
