How come the comic hero "The Flash" hasn't gotten a movie yet?

Seems like Hollywood would've had this one out there by now.

Just curious.

He will be in the Justice League movie with his own solo movie after that.

Figured it was a matter of time. FWIW I remember the early 90's run that the flash had on tv.

yeah, he is the biggest super hero I can think of without a movie.

I was a huge flash fan growing up.

He did a tv show in the 80s, which was pretty terrible.

Supposedly one is in the work.

Yea, i watched it. Could've sworn it was 92/93ish. I imagine they were limited by SFX. Not the case anymore....

I have the entire flash series on a external HDD somewhere and watched the original run, it's not terrible.

It's not great though

I personally think it would be hard to shoot unless they did "bullet time"

The problem with Flash has always been that if written correctly, there's almost no way to create a villain that could even make the Flash break a sweat. His super speed is SO fast that it's as if we're all standing still. Truly, his speed is the ultimate super power. He can run SO fast, he is untouchable. Superman may be the only guy that could even come close to laying a hand on him.

Comic books couldn't really portray how powerful super speed can be. But a movie, with the CGI tech we have now, could. It would take a hell of a writer to do it justice though.

This is about the best I've ever seen of what the Flash is capable of.

As of last year, Aquaman's comic book has been selling more than some of the X-Men titles. When the character is in the right hands, he is a spectacular character. He is at times like Conan of the sea. Just saying.

It was just a rumor and then he was miscast as GL and that pretty much squashed the possiblity. That squashed it and DC switching from Wally West back to Barry Allen.

Barry Allen could smoke pretty much anyone if he truly wanted. I mean...come on...he BECAME the speed force.

He's so fast he can move through all time and space without being touched. There is no limit to his speed in the end.
