idk much about him, other than that he was highly recruited at Penn State, and that he transferred here after that mess. Does anyone think there is a legitimate shot we could see him at the helm after next year. Do coaches ever talk about him?

Was talk that he transferred...not sure though because he's still on the roster.

how many of his friends/family are going to start threads asking for him to start?

He started 15 games at Penn st and after Mett leaves it's him, Rivers, and (likely) two RS Freshman in Rettig and Jennings. He'd be the only QB with any experience. Not totally implausible, especially with CLM's history of awarding seniority.

are you thinking of Jerrard Randall (QB from FL who is now going to NW Mississippi JUCO)?

There was a reason Rivers was the backup this year. Bolden was brought here to provide depth at QB.

Rivers was the backup because all transfer players have to sit out for one year

No, Bolden didn't have to sit out. Penn State players were allowed to transfer without sitting.

Bolden didn't have to sit out, Penn State players who left were eligible to play immediately (though Bolden didn't exactly leave because of the scandal).

supposedly he tore his acl late in the yr though, so that may enable the youngins to get in here and get a leg up in spring ball. no pun intended.

Almost as shocking as thinking Rettig will make it to campus, right?

"all" is incorrect

Penn State transfers got a waiver after the Sandusky near death sentence.

No. Bolden was brought as insurance in case Mett went down and Rivers wasn't ready. He was never going to be more than 2nd string at Penn State.

Well that's kind of what depth at QB means.
