I wonder how many of them actually believe this as opposed to just saying it to stay alive.

I just can't imagine how those people don't revolt.

They are brainwashed into being servants to the holy State. And even if there were the occassional rebel...they wouldn't last long; their own would turn them in.

And revolt with what...sticks.

Disgusting. And the more powerful their weaponry becomes...the worse that the the ultimate result be. South Korea

It is indoctrinated in the children from a very young age.

And they don't exactly have free information flowing in that would cause them to question what they have been told.

NK is what happens when religion dominates freedom and science. You know, sorta like europe circa 1400

So, an individual is 'sad', if they believe that the very essence of Material Reality...is Spirit/Consciousness? I.e., *God*. And that God is a loving Creator toward it's 'children'. Mistaken, maybe..."sad", not so much. I'm smilin now!

And NK is religious? Don't think so, but I don't know. Hell, Jimmy Swaggart is *religious*. So is Obama!

North Korea and South Korea, twins separated at birth, have provided a wonderful, natural economic experiment pitting state central planning versus free market.

I wouldn't exactly call Park Chung Hee's reforms "free market." Forced urban relocation, tremendous government investment, and loads of foreign aid from the U.S. are indicators of a top-down approach to reform, similar to those found throughout the Tiger countries.

Uh, that is called a cult of personality not a religion for a reason, there is nothing divine in a mortal.

According to my friend who has done mission work in plenty Asian shitholes, they are wayyyyy too stupid to revolt. She didn't say it as an insult, just said there's no way they have the mental capacity to figure out how to do it.

That sounds like a pretty big insult to me.

Yeah that's pretty stupid. And I doubt his friend has any idea about North Korea or the average intelligence of a North Korean citizen.

Their "president" is a dead man. They certainly believe he is divine.

Two of thier Gods have died since '53, that might give them a clue about the Kims.

And yet they still worship them. Kim Il-Sung is even considered the "Eternal President of the Republic."
