Tell me about it. Moved to SoCar in mid-Dec, and probably 25% of my employees are Clemson fans.

I gotta listen to that crap day in / day out.... for the foreseeable future.

I bet if we had a graveyard there would be a consensus that its awesome to have wins like 11/5/11 in there

Difference is, LSU could just put top 5 teams beaten away from home and almost match the total top 25 wins Clemson has. Good for them. The 2nd teir teams need to have something to remember to give them hope and motivation to keep on. They played lights out and won the game.

Apparently they do one for every top 25 team they beat away from home.

Looks pretty sparse.

Yet, they have one for LSU.

I think it is in poor taste.

A plague, a statue, something else...but a tombstone. Really.

They beat us, do what they want with it, just find it in a little poor taste. I am a sensitive bastard.

That is extremely gay.

But not as gay as LSU actually adding to it.

Tradition is great and all, but bragging that you've beaten 9 top 25 teams on the road in your 100+ year history is just pathetic. LSU has beaten 16 ranked teams "away from home" since 2006. Including 5 wins against Top 25 teams on the road in one season.

I believe there are 22 away-from-home wins over ranked teams in the graveyard. (Might be short by a couple.) That dates back to 1948 when the tradition began, and does not include bowl/neutral site wins prior to the 2003 Peach Bowl. (Some people think tombstones for neutral site games is lame--I tend to agree, but whatever.) Also, the tombstones are over by the practice fields, not at Death Valley.

I don't know how many tombstones there are because there was originally just one tombstone with multiple games on it, that we added to after each qualifying win. We did not start putting up a new tombstone for each individual game until the 70s or 80s.

I think it's a great and fun tradition. Like every school, we have some good and some bad--the graveyard is a good one, IMO. If it hurts your feelings, you're just being sensitive.

Clemson fans are definitely excited to beat LSU. We were disappointed to miss out on the BCS, but were relieved and excited to at least draw an excellent matchup (just like I'm sure plenty of LSU fans were glad to play us, even if y'all weren't). Clemson has not been a great program since the 80s but playing programs like LSU is part of our road to hopefully get back there.
