Monty threatens to bench players who don't play defense

Seeking improvement, the Hornets play the Memphis Grizzlies Sunday, another team that likes to push the tempo with point guards Mike Conley and Jerryd Bayless.
``We’re certainly not going to watch guys play on the floor and allow transition baskets,’’ Williams said.``Transition defense is a fundamental and usually is not something you have to teach at this point of the season.’'

one time my elementary school coach was pissed at us for not playing defense. he started benching anyone who he didnt feel was fully hustling...he benched all the starters within the first 2 minutes of the game. then when the bench players weren't hustling, he threatened to forefit the game

Good. We gave up way too many easy transition layups on Friday. I hope they let Miller play to see if he deserves minutes over guys like Xavier.
