probably not

more players would die on the football field from skull fractures - and it seems likely that athletes in sports like rugby and hockey will increasingly be recognized as having CTE as well

Rugby players don't use helmets. They have fewer issues with head trauma.

That's probably wrong - concussions have just not been appreciated as a problem in rugby because the culture of the sport discourages it.
