Well I guess Austin applies to about half of them, so he's right on track.

Which makes sense since he is half white.

Nope.. He is a PF and the Pelicans are loaded at that position. Besides, I doubt he will ever play in the NBA..

Royce White's skillset is unique but I wouldn't want that crazy bag of frick on my favorite team.

If it was in some way guaranteed he wouldn't act totally crazy, I would make that trade in a heartbeat.

If it was only pure basketball skills taken into account, and not personality or being totally insane, White >>> Rivers any day of the week.

Rivers.

I think the White situation is very interesting. I prefer my player situations to be quite boring.

I also think the White situation next season won't be as improved as the Rivers situation will be.

Couldn't find a video, but they had a scene about that on the League:

Andre: I met this doctor, Dr. Maxwell. Real class act.
Pete: Is he...black?
Andre: How'd you know?
Pete: Nine times out of ten, when a sportscaster is referring to someone as a "class act", they're talking about a head coach who's black. "Tony Dungy, what a class act."
Kevin: "Total. Lovie Smith—class act."
Andre: I never noticed that. I mean, it happens all the time?
Kevin: It's not just football. Sportscasters use these code words in all sports. If they're talking about a Latino player in baseball, like, "Ozzie Guillen is a..."
Ruxin: Firecracker. Latin guys are always firecrackers.
Kevin: "...firecracker."
Pete: Spark plug.
Kevin: Spark plug in the clubhouse.
Ruxin: Wes Welker is like a gym rat, a real scrappy player.
Kevin: Which is code word for "white."
Ruxin: Always a white guy.
Kevin: Ichiro Suzuki is...
Taco: Inscrutable.

Also, no way in hell I take Royce White. I'd rather have a player that may take a while to develop over a player that can't play

Wasn't it unanimously agreed on prior to the draft that Rivers was going to be a project?

I remember that being the case

Yeah, everyone knew that he would have a lot to work on before being a good player, but he has some things you can't teach that make his potential pretty high. However, no one foresaw him being this awful.

Yes, he has a ways to go.

I swear I'm not wearing rose colored glasses, but I really think the kid may turn it around by next season. Not making a prediction, really, but I think he's got something. We'll see.

You'd be one hell of a GM.

He can drive and he has a great first step and overall speed/agility. He can drive to the rim, but he needs to learn how to finish at the rim.

This is a problem though. I have no faith (as of this moment) in his jumpshot. His form is abysmal. Can't shoot free throws for shite. Those are HUGE issues for a combo guard.

The amount of hate rivers gets is crazy. Yes I understand he's had a HORRIBLE season but he's shown flashes of what he could be with improvement. I think if this offseason he works on FT shooting and going left then he'll improve A LOT!
Plus Roberts is probably just as bad, I don't see people posting boards about how much they hate him.

But to answer your question no I wouldn't trade him for white unless white could play SF and play in every single game
