Been checking the mock drafts and haven't seen his name in the first two rounds of any yet. Today's game might change that. We'll see.

Disagree there. Assuming the LSU website is correct in saying that he is 6'9, he is right there along with the average NBA starter height. Body type personally reminds me of Paul Milsap

given the draft class that jones has signed, he needs to stay and IMPROVE. He wouldnt get drafted before the fifth round this year and unless he improves, that may be his ceiling.

If he can't get past the 5th he definitely shouldn't come out. Probably should just give up the sport.

And there are only two rounds in the NBA Draft so that's pretty bad.

As I said above he's not listed on any of the recent mock drafts. That could change if he plays every game like today, but he's never showed that kind of consistency.

But....Hamilton wasn't listed on many mock drafts last year and went in the second round to Miami, so you never know.

I at least saw Hamilton's name in the draft discussion, Chad Ford had him in the 70's. Only time I've seen JOB's name was this summer in a NBAdraft.net mock for next year and they had him going in the 50's and they dropped him out not long after that.

Johnny's draft stock will rise a ton if he stays for next year (which will most likely happen)

What does he provide an NBA team? He is pretty much limited to playing the 4 position. He isn't a strong defender at the position, as taller players go over him quite regularly, and he doesn't excel at weakside help. His offensive skills are unrefined, and he is extremely limited in his shooting range.

He really isn't giving us much of a presence on the defensive end aside from rebounding. You are correct I think in that he has been a bit slow and ineffective on weakside help.

I think he can improve on that still, but I don't think his cieling for improvement is very high there. Hope I'm wrong.

Actually only 60 kids get picked. The NBA draft hasn't been more than two rounds in years, televised or not.

I heard he told people on campus he will stay and graduate. I believe he knows his potential and it will go up if he stays next year but idk about his senior year.

paul milsap was a man on the boards (JOB isn't) and he is an amazing midrange shooter. JOB can't shoot for shite and doesn't look ato have the ability to develop that skill

the only thing he can give a team is rebounding

noel isn't good on offense and he dominated JOB yesterday. what's JOB going to do against a real NBA player?

but I don't think his cieling for improvement is very high there

that's the issue

our last undersized 4s (davis, bass) were skilled. bass was also really athletic. JOB isn't really athletic and he's not skilled at all.

if he's not showing skills by this age, i doubt they ever come. the lack of height/athleticism limits his ceiling. staying in college will almost assuredly hurt him in terms of the NBA

ETA: that's good for us, though, b/c it means he should stay here for 4 years
