End of Watch or Dredd?

Never even heard of Dredd. But End of Watch was good. It's certainly worth the rental.

Watched Dredd last week, good flick, no heavy thinking. Coworker watched End of Watch, said it was good. Why not rent them both?

I haven't seen either but here is how I would choose

I think Dredd has the better chance of sucking than it does of being a pretty cool genre film. These kind of movies can go downhill really fast if the director can't keep a consistent tone. I doubt there is much middle ground on how you will feel. You'll either think its cool it or dumb as hell.

I think End Of Watch is much less likely to suck but it also has a high chance of being an average cop vs corruption flick. It is probably the kind of movie that is well acted and well shot but you forget about as soon as you turn it off. In about a month you might actually start confusing the plot with an episode of The Shield.

So I would pick Dredd. It might blow but you'll probably remember more about it a week from now.

Dredd wasn't that bad. Lena Headey does it for me so I was glad to see her in it.

I think it can stand alone.

It's not even close to the same kind of movie. Much, much better.

Gonna watch both this weekend

End of Watch > Dredd.

Both are good movies though.

I watched Dredd.... Then immediately wanted more Dredd.
