It's definitely Raph in LF. Bbap hit it on the head with Dean.

CPM is in the college baseball HOF & has won the SEC, SEC Tourney, and a NC. I put a lot more faith in his knowledge re the batting lineup than a fan, sorry. As well, the whole coaching staff discusses everything bout the team, so it's not just his decision alone, tho, certainly, he does make out the lineup at the end of the day. Point being he gets a lot of feedback from coaches who make their living coaching college baseball.

no, but I only listened for a little while during lunch.

I didnt hear anything about the INF.

I caught the tail end of a interview with Katz and he's convinced he's our 1B. He also said no one can outwork Bregman.

But the excuse he gave was, Raph will hit better if he's playing in the field and in "in the flow of the game"

his words, not mine.

I'm fine with this, Raph had some nice moments out there. Hopefully he's improved.

This is just stupid, if anything he's hurting it. Raph is just not a guy you can put in the field, period. I'm sorry, but a .950% in LF? That's awful. If he's playing LF, then who is going to DH? One of the outfielders who is better in the OF than him?

I guess

Katz and Raph hitting 4/5 seems pretty dumb too.

Speed guy at 1, Bregman at 2, Rhymes at 3, Katz at 4

Flip flop Rhymes/Katz if you wish, but that's how I'd love it.

With Rhymes/Katz being 4/5, that puts Bregman at 3 more than likely.

Maybe Something like...

1. Sciambra
2. Jones
3. Bregman
4. Rhymes
5. Katz
6. McMullen/Laird/Stevenson
7. Ross
8. Moore/insert hot hitter
9. Ibarra

I think the 2nd and 6th spots can be interchanged. PM did say ther other 2 outfielders would more than likely bat 1/2.

1. RF or Sciambra
2. Sciambra or RF
3. Bregman
4. Rhymes
5. Katz
6. Ross
7. Jones
8. DH
9. Ibarra

That aint no guess, that's what its gonna be.

I have questioned Mainieri's lineups the last few years. You don't put your best two hitters at the 4 and 5 spots. Over the course of a season, the 4 and 5 spots will get about 12-15 less at bats than the 2 and 3 hole hitters. I never could understand how Mainieri batted Mikie Mahtook clean-up instead of third.

He sounded school girl giddy about Bregman in the 3 hole.

If Bregman is that good, I can live with him in the 3 hole and Katz in the 5 hole.
