Honestly, its what I paid brand new when it first hit the shelves from Academy.
Def had better deals since then, but some people are willing to finally have it in hand, and I know a bunch of folks on here were looking.

It was reported last night on another fourm, that there is a S&W Shield .40sw at Academy veterans blvd for 399.00.

I'm going pick my shield up from Jim's Firearms tomorrow, waited a month for it to come in. Paying $450 or so. I also got a leather Mitch Rosen holster and a crossbreed belt in this week
