I hope so but his film does look pretty good. Can he contribute as a true freshman?

Doubt it. We could lose nearly every WR after this year, so it makes no since.

I don't think we lose Landry or OBJ or QL.

Depends if he makes the 2 deep.

Obviously he won't be in the first group that plays, but if he sneaks into the 2 deep then he will travel and will undoubtedly get reps at the end of blowouts. Might be able to "medical" red shirt him but likely not in that scenario.

Probably and so does Avery Peterson. Two seniors Boone and Wright with OBJ, Landry, and Dural. Those two wont see the field till 2014

And Diarse. Don't forget Diarse. He's gonna be like adding Eric Martin into the mix.

Nope this past season was basically his redshirt year.

I agree. And I think Spears get reps. too and doesn't RS. I think you want get Spears some experience and then haul in the 4 louisiana WR next year and get them on the field too; prepare for landry, obj and QL leaving.

No point in redshirting. If they are good, they leave early anyway.

1. False

2. What does that have to do with anything. People are leaving after next year so he won't redshirt and not play and lose a year...

He will probably redshirt to learn and put on some size. I think diarse will/would play over him if someone had to step up next year. And I'm sure a couple others. Diarse was just the first to come to mind

Depends on if he plays or not. If he doesn't see the field I am guessing he will redshirt.

Tough to know exactly at this point, but if Dural stays healthy, Leslie makes it to campus & has the grades, it looks like better than 50-50 chance that Spears would red-shirt.

My expectations for Diarse are higher than any player in the class other than maybe White. I worked a Diarse game and guy has as impressive of a skill set running routes and with the ball in his hands as anyone. Spears will def RS, no way he sniffs the field next year unless on special teams.

Just guessing but I don't see him doing anything but redshirting this season unless we have personnel problems... speaking of grades. I believe he was offered because we HOPEFULLY don't need him to be ready this season but with work could be special.

Now if he does start without others in front of him sabatoging thereselves with off the field issues then I would have to assume he is a diamond in the rough and would have to be extra special to make the starting lineup this season.

LSU will finally be stout at WR again and with depth to back them up. Haven't had depth and talent both at the same time in quite a while.

Passing game should be much improved this season. Sure people said that last season but that was founded on a good bit of hope... METT... LINE... WR's! This year I think the amount of hope a good passing game is based on is significantly less that last year.
