I love the place. I've pimped it here before but never got any good responses from other posters.
I went once and didn't like it. Maybe I need to give it another shot

I judge good mexican/tex mex by their enchiladas.

Taqueria Guerrero is definitely my fave.

And Salsas Por El Lago opened in Vets near the old C's.

New place in Lakeview where Salsas was called Maple Cafe that just opened, they completely renovated that building and it looks nice...haven't looked at the menu yet.

Coyote Blues just opened in Metry for good tex mex

I too like Coyote Blues. Their smoked duck quesadillas with raspberry chipotle sauce is very good and so are the seafood enchiladas.

Having a terrible meal at La Fiesta really doesn't surprise me, but it's still about the only place my wife and i go. It's cheap and mexican-ish enough to fulfill craving. Usually only go if were going to Target on the westbank.

Being from Arizona and living in NO is depressing mexican food wise. When I lived in BR I at least had La Tiendita and Mestizo to get me close to what I was used to.
