I don't think that is as important as him just being there and able to practice in front of all the scouts

Why would he not? It's not like they are trying to win, they are there to allow coaches and scouts to see these guys. So yes, he will play.

Exactly.

Why. Wouldn't. He.

Million dollar question.

The practices and the contacts are worth more than playing in the game itself. They have enough film of you from college, that's the film they really look at.

well if Beckham, Landry, Wright or Boone is on the roster and you are trying to win. He probably wouldnt see the field.

Just sayin.

He's going to go out and sling a bunch of 80 yard TD bombs en route to being 1st overall pick.

Shep will make an NFL roster and become a chain mover. The guy can ball - Beckham/Landry/Wright/Boone will be telling their kids stories of how they played with Shep and how he got the shaft. The guy just has -it-. Never seen any player better than him in person, his whole LSU career has been a giant question mark.

You either don't watch very much football, or you're just trying to be sarcastic.

Who gives a shite?

The game is meaningless compared to the practices. If they want to see him in a game then can go pop in the game film. (Although there isn't much of that )

Kid doesn't touch the ball for almost two years and gets a senior bowl invite. Welcome to the fold padna. Get ready for the Shep Bowl.

What?

He got invited late to the Senior Bowl, and didn't do much in the other all-star game.

I hope all the best for Shep in the NFL, but you might want to temper your expectations a little.

A good bit of the fans get a little too emotional when it comes to Shep. Good guy/LSU ambassador/High School Phenom(Yes!) However, his four years at LSU are probably not an aberration. I wish the best for the guy and while it is possible that he could have an impact in the NFL-it's not very probable.

Speaking of shep and edwards
quote:

1. LSU WR Russell Shepard continued his all around solid play today exhibited good route running ability and good away from his body catching. He made the play of the day running a double move vs. BW Webb with EJ Manuel throwing him the ball. Shepard was lined up split out to the left took two steps like he was running a slant which Webb bit on and then broke to the corner, which was left him wide open. EJ Manuel delivered a nice touch pass for a touchdown. The play had all the scouts in the stand oohing and ahhing. It was probably the play of the day offensively.

2. LSU DE Lavar Edwards continued to be the best defensive end prospect on the South roster. The defensive line spent most of the day working with Lions DL Coach Kris Kocurek.

Going through change of direction drills Edwards was clearly the most fluid and agile. He displayed good, quick feet and was able to bend around the corner better than any other defensive linemen going through the drills. Edwards hasn’t stood out too much in actually 1 on 1 pass rushing drills, but has shown enough this week to think he can develop into a good edge rusher with the development of a couple pass rush moves.

I'd be surprised if Shep falls to the beginning of the fourth round.
