Hell, I sw only 2 kids on the entire list from north of Alexandria (Sims and Hootie). I assume Robinson is going to be a third.

At what point will these New Orleans reporters grasp the concept that "teams" from north Louisiana play well because they actually have decent players??? To have only 3 kids from north Louisiana on that final list is absurd. My hunch is this guy couldn't name another player off of Neville/Ouachita/West Monroe other than Hootie, Sims, and Robinson.

It's okay for a sportswriter from New Orleans to focus on kids in his area - it's expected. I'm sure Monroe-based writers don't know much about all the studs from the southern part of the state.

But if so, then perhaps it might be wiser to limit your article to only include kids from your area.

You are way too invested in the North La. vs. South La. competition. There is really no need to get your feelings hurt over stuff like that.

The best players come from Nola metro. Not that hard to grasp.

Just making an observation. It is hard to ignore that every single player between 10-40 on that list is from south of Alexandria. That's 31 consecutive guys.

I guess I could see 20 of those guys from South Louisiana; Hell, perhaps even 25 out of 31. But all 31 of them??? C'mon...

24. Bailey Granier, DT, South Lafourche, 6'6 305

Granier's an OT not DT and he's legit. We played against him, Clapp, and Boutte this year and he wrecked as much havoc as both of them. He's not as athletic as Clapp but he's bigger than both of them, and he's still growing into his frame. He was only like 6'2 as a sophomore but by his junior year he really shot up. His new highlight video has him listed as 6'8 317 now.
