Went looking for Poblano pepper seeds and couldn't find any around Shreveport. Even went to the local Co-op and they looked through there seed catalog and even their seller didn't have them. Had to order off the internet. What sucks though is that the cost of shipping is more than what the seeds cost. Thinking about planting some different types of peppers and see if any locals might want to buy them. I have never heard of some of the different types out there. Found some good prices and different types at ParkSeed

If the shelf life is outstanding then treat some of them suckas like .22 ammo.

Go to F&D board, there was a thread on this yesterday. I ordered my seeds from Tradewinds, check out Ragin's pepper pics from last year. If you're going to sell them, these would be no brainer considering what people are paying for red and yellow peppers.

yea the red and yellow pepper prices are crazy. Walmart will sell a green bellpepper for like .68cnts whereas the reds and yellows are near $2

Do you notice any taste difference in the green and yellow/red?
I never really notice a difference.

If I remember correctly, the y/r had a sweeter taste, but I can never justify paying so much for a pepper. I get poblano's from walmart all the time and for the past 6 months they have had the price wrong. at one time they were selling them for 1.68 per pound. Now they have them incorrectly priced at $2.48/pepper. i have told them and they admit that they are priced wrong and just tell me to tell the girl at the register to change it when checking out. I just tell them the cheapest local price that I have seen and they change it.

I forgot to mention, shipping is free if order is over $10. My dumbass only order 4 packs of seeds and saw the 10 total and didn't realize I was paying for shipping instead of another pack.
I can tell the difference in red/yellow vs green. Green is much stronger. I'm going to dry some different chiles and smoke them and make some powders.

I dehydrated and ground some jalapenos last year. Just a heads up, if you grind them in a coffee grinder, let it sit about 10 minutes before you take the top off. Your sinuses will thank you.
