I think 46 wins is a fair win total to make the playoffs.

Kobe's gonna be watching from home this year.

Less than 46 will probably get you in. At least that's the way it looks at this point.

However, I hate the bastards so I certainly hope they so miss the postseason.

So was it Phil Jackson that made Kobe great?

No Shaq, no Phil Jackson, no playoffs for Kobe.

stick a fricking fork in them. They have so many problems not even a paragraph would do justice... I expect Kobe's age/mileage to start kicking in in the 2nd half of the season.

46 is too high. It'll probably be 42-43. The 8th seed in the West is competitive, but the teams vying for it aren't that great. But 26-17 isn't much easier. They really need to go on a run soon to give themselves some wiggle room.

A trade seems inevitable at this point. So we'll see what happens.

Th 8th seed will probable be more than 46 wins, Portland is on a 6 game losing streak they or someone else will get hot and make the 8th seed around 48-49 wins IMO

Those guys didn't make him great, but maybe made him a winner.

His seasons without Shaq or Phil have been train wrecks.

The chances of a 49 win team being in the 8th seed are beyond remote.

This, and that is why I love the kobe-lebron argument.

Don't be surprised if the Hornets finish with more wins than the Lakers

They are "only" 4 games out of the 8th seed spot right now.

Clearly possible, but not likely.

They are a complete mess right now

It wasnt Phil Jackson that made him great.

But the Lakers don't have the legs to run the Dantoni style of basketball. That was the stupidest hire in pro sports in a while.
