The Black Dirt Sessions are brilliant. It even has a superior version of Christ Jesus.

I've honestly never given them a chance. Am I missing out?

I think James McCauley is the best singer/songwriter currently working. I love everything he does (Deer Tick, Middle Brother, Diamond Rugs). He's a beer-swilling genius.

His stuff is just rowdy fun.

I wouldn't go quite that far but he is most certainly talented

Black Dirt Sessions is my favorite, but I prefer the darker, more depressing stuff to his more rowdy, raucus songs.

I like them but I expected more considering how much I'd heard about them. They are a solid band though

Born on flag day is probably their best album. Every song jams. Especially the ghost, hell on earth, and straight into a storm. The "Tim" ep is good too.

Jesus christ on black dirt sessions is awesome

i only like one other song on that album listening to the preview of all the songs in i-tunes

Born on flag day - like this album much more than black dirt sessions but war elephant is still better

Overall - War Elephant (IMO) is the best album
